Bob Rodriguez (GONZALO )

Bob is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, a Meisner Technique actor, an organic improvisor, a writer, and a director. He has also studied classical theatre and Lessac voice technique. Bob has studied improvisational theater at The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City, The Empty Stage, Bang Improv Studio and elsewhere. He has taught improv workshops at Los Angeles Southwest College, was Director of two improv troupes, and has performed in over 100 live improv shows. Bob has had leading roles in classical and contemporary plays in venues all over greater Los Angeles, and has appeared in various independent films and commercials. He played Cymbeline in Cymbeline, Duncan in the Macbeth, Cicero in Julius Caesar, and The Cardinal in’ Tis Pity She’s A Whore. His last leading role in a contemporary play was as Herman Glogauer in the Kaufman & Hart Broadway comedy, Once In A Lifetime. Bob recently play several characters including the lead defense attorney in Casa 0101’s production of Free Los Tres. Bob wrote and directed the short Void, and has published a volume of classical poetry. Bob is honored to be participating in Colonials Theatre’s production of “The Tempest,” under the direction of Artistic Director, Anthony Cronin.
